Penny Hackney

I studied for a degree in childhood and worked for a number of years with children of all ages. I believe it is important to support the individual child/young person as a whole and according to their learning styles, abilities, likes and aspirations and know that if they are struggling with their mental wellbeing this can greatly affect their learning and development.

Having had previous experience of the difficulties in finding appropriate support for children and young people with this, I wanted to create a service where support is readily available to those who would not normally have access to support elsewhere.

I am proud that our service is growing and supports more than 40 children and young people per week, and am particularly proud that it is named in loving memory after my gorgeous and cheeky son
