Going The Distance For The Foundation

Back in March, the Matthew Hackney Foundation sponsored a race at Fontwell. The 15:45 handicap chase had Penny awarding the best turned out horse and Rich presenting the trophy to the winning jockey and syndicate.

The winner on the day was "Waikiki Waves", jockey J E Moore receiving £4,614 in prize money and the overall race having £8,511 in prize money.

The event was paid for by friends of the foundation in recognition of Rich's 50th birthday and the race helped to raise much awareness for the foundation with the race being featured on many media sites including; YouTube, SkySports and Ladbrokes.

The overall day was a success for The Matthew Hackney Foundation who had their own box to watch the races, capturing a fine day with some quality horse racing at a local racecourse.
